Description:

would it be possible to add a provides/replaces to 'szip' as it's stated on the README of the source code (https://gitlab.dkrz.de/k202009/libaec/#szip-compatibility) and as szip is a real software (https://support.hdfgroup.org/doc_resource/SZIP/) packaged in the AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/szip/) ?

Not sure why we should care, as hdfgroup recommends using libaec and it's not like we packaged szip anyway... so the only things depending on it would be AUR packages.

And libaec is the standard because it is open-source, everything else should provide *it*. ;)

Regarding HDF: https://support.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/faq/compression.html, they link OS SZIP Compression.
