Description:
Although zsh is built with `--enable-etcdir=/etc/zsh` the manpage hasn't been updated with the new path: "STARTUP/SHUTDOWN FILES Commands are first read from /etc/zshenv…" which should say "/etc/zsh/zshenv"; incorrect path will—and has at least once—confused users. Steps to correct: INSTALL in the zsh repository says: "The precompiled documentation comes with startup files listed as being in the /etc directory. If yodl is available, running "touch version.yo" and "make" in the Doc directory should produce correctly substituted documentation." I recommend packaging yodl and adding it to makedepends to generate correctly substituted documentation during the build. |
