After recently making a custom patch for the encrypt hook, I thought I would submit it here as an an official request.

I needed a way to have the encrypt hook timeout and shut down my machine. I added a new option, 'shutdown-after', that adds the '--timeout' option to the cryptsetup call, and executes a shutdown via sysrq-trigger after the timeout. This would be added, along with any other options, to the 'cryptdevice=' kernel option, like so:

cryptdevice=UUID=xxx-xxx-xxx:cryptlvm:allow-discards,shutdown-after=300

That would cause the `cryptsetup open` call to time out after 5 minutes, and have the system be halted.

Up to you if you want to include this option, but I thought I would throw it out there!
