Description:
Discover crashes when it starts searching for updates. Also, it makes plasma-desktop crash when it's loaded in the system tray as update notifier.
This started happening after the packagekit-qt5 1.0.0

Open plasma-discover, go to Settings, Other, Check updates. (or press CTRL-R)

Are you sure you were running 5.11.5-3 when it crashed? Note that simply updating won't make you run 5.11.5-3 if you had the update notifier loaded in the system tray, you'll have to restart plasmashell

Version 5.11.5-3 solved the regular crash every 5 minutes, but it still crash when manually searching for update in discover GUI.

Please test 5.11.95 from [kde-unstable] (you can install it independently from all other Plasma packages) and, if you can still reproduce it, report it upstream.

I installed 5.11.95, but I it doesn't run:

Icon theme "ubuntu-mono-dark" not found.
Icon theme "gnome" not found.
QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component

qrc:/qml/DiscoverDrawer.qml:98 Type ActionListItem unavailable

Ah, you probably need kirigami 5.42, which I just moved to extra. Try again after updating.

Ok! 5.11.95 works and doesn't crash when checking updates.

Please test 5.11.5-4, I've backported another potential crash fix. For some reason the "check for updates" menu entry is permanently greyed out for me, so I can't even try to reproduce. Taking a shot in the dark here.
