DetailsTo duplicate bug: install Arch64, pacman -Syu, install kernel26 and madwifi. Now 'ifconfig ath0 up'. System hangs. (Running on an Acer Aspire 5100 with built-in Atheros wireless).
To fix: run 'abs', makepkg abs version of madwifi, 'pacman -Rd madwifi', 'pacman -A <madwifi-package.tar.gz>', and 'ifconfig ath0 up' again. Everything works!! Try using the wireless, try running kismet... Everything's ok. |

trying kernel26beyond now - madwifi-beyond works fine here (same version - 0.9.2-2) - so I know it's definitely a compilation problem. Does nobody have this problem at all??
