Guile 1.8.0 is uncompatible with earlier versions.
Please recompile TeXmacs with an older version of Guile,
since TeXmacs is likely to crash with Guile 1.8.0.
Any help for fixing this problem would be appreciated.

Happened to me also. It is very frustrating because I use texmacs a lot.
Would it be possible to make the PKGBUILD download old guile sources, compile and link it statically against texmacs?
Or maybe dinamically but install the guile library inside the texmacs pkg tree.

I've contacted the devs of texmacs... best would be, that somebody updates the code of texmacs to work with guile 1.8. ... if nobody volunteers, in this unfortunate case we may think of building it static against an old guile.

Another option would be to maintain an old guile package (like gcc3) under /opt.

i have already >300 pkgs... if you happen to find another dev to do this... :)

Ok, then I guess that the static library (or dynamic inside pkg tree) would be a better option in case texmacs' devs don't come up with patch.

It seems to be fixed on latest version (I tried it on my own).
I flagged the package out of date, I think this bug can be closed when arch's package gets updated.
