in telegram settings you can enable native notifications for telegram. Telegram will then use the libnotify and the native notifications of your desktop

with version 1.2.6-3 this is broken. Telegram loses the option for native notifications. downgrade to 1.2.6-1 (I dont have -2 in cache) fixes this for me.

please revert that change.
