Description:

The version of nvidia driver 387.34-18 is breaking bumblebee. I have two graphics card on my laptop (Intel and Nvidia). Until this update everything was working fine but the version 18 is changing something which forbid every software using OpenGL to work properly, e.g. it is not possible to log on Gnome for example (KDE is working without OpenGL so it can work more or less, kmail does not).

Additional info:
* package version(s)

387.34-18

Steps to reproduce:

Install nvidia package on a multiple graphic card environment and log on gnome or try to use any OpenGL software like glxgears. The error message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log will be:

Failed to initialize GLX extension (Compatible NVIDIA X driver not found)

Hi, I have filed a similar bug. But I found out, that the nvidia package itself does not kill my gnome login. But upgrading nvidia-utils lets my system crash. Is it the same on your as well? I have a Intel/Nvidia Bumblebee setup similar to your setup.
