DetailsMyself being a 'normal' user, I just today discovered the joys of Flathub and was able to easily install Discord and Spotify, and it made me sad that I had not heard about Flathub until this point. Further, until adding the flathub repo I felt that Gnome-Software was completely useless, and only now am I seeing the true purpose of Gnome-Software.
Ideally, perhaps we should have the Flathub repo installed by default upon installing Flatpak; however, as I can understand reluctance to do any configuration on a user's behalf, perhaps a good compromise would be to just have an install message listing the command to install the flathub repo. |
