DetailsCannot run firefox or chromium in Gnome 3.26 wayland session. These run fine in Gnome 3.26 X session.
Also, trying to debug a javafx app in Gnome 3.26 wayland yields: X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 149 () Minor opcode of failed request: 2 Serial number of failed request: 34 Current serial number in output stream: 35 This error does not ocurr within the Gnome 3.26 X session. |
This task depends upon
another application which triggers the problem is glxgears:
[matthew@battlestar ~]$ glxgears
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 149 ()
Minor opcode of failed request: 2
Serial number of failed request: 37
Current serial number in output stream: 38
Applications like xeyes, gimp, and sublime text however do not have any problem. OBS (Open Broadcaster) launches, but crashes when any secondary windows are opened like the settings menu. Discord-Canary launches, but freezes shortly after.
This is a huge issue imo.
Sorry for the delay. It was a Radeon HD7770.
17.3.3-2 is now in main repo and can confirm fixes Firefox, Chromium, and JavaFX launch.
Thanks for your work,
Martin.
