Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  As can be read in comments, libpulse is the dependency and not pulseaudio.

The binaries appear to link as such:

libpulse.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpulse.so.0 (0x00007f15cdd99000)
libpulsecommon-11.0.so => /usr/lib/pulseaudio/libpulsecommon-11.0.so (0x00007f15c77a3000)

These libraries are provided by the libpulse package for these very requirements. Depending on pulseaudio instead of libpulse appears to be in error.

Yes, the right dependency is the core library "libpulse". Will be fixed in 2.11.0-3

And answering to the bug reporter - qemu supported audio engines since ages. But this dependency should not be a part of headless qemu dependency list, it should be moved to full qemu deps.
