Details

After the last full package upgrade using [testing], the sd-encrypt hook would no longer unlock my encrypted root partition on boot.

Downgrading to systemd 236.0-1 from [core] fixed it:

[2017-12-17 13:32] [ALPM] downgraded systemd (236.0-1 -> 235.38-4)
[2017-12-17 13:41] [ALPM] downgraded systemd-sysvcompat (236.0-1 -> 235.38-4)

My dm-crypt/LUKS setup is really simple, with only one encrypted partition (the root partition).
