DetailsDescription:
Attempting to open a file under any path other than $HOME results in badly rendered GUI elements in the file dialog. Additional info: * package version(s): Qt 5.10.0-1, KDE Frameworks 5.41.0-1, * config and/or log files etc: normal config, no unusual output from Kate. This also affects the KDialog file chooser used by Chromium. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Kate, Okular, KWave, or any other KDE Applications program. 2. Go to File > Open 3. Go to /usr/bin, /var, or basically any path other than $HOME. 4. Move the cursor over the listed directories or files; they will become truncated as shown in the screenshot. 5. Going to (options icon) > View > Short View causes a re-rendering or something, temporarily fixing the problem until you move the cursor over the items again. |

Please report this upstream (preferably to KDE, since the plain Qt file dialog is not affected)
