Attempting to open a file under any path other than $HOME results in badly rendered GUI elements in the file dialog.

Additional info:
* package version(s): Qt 5.10.0-1, KDE Frameworks 5.41.0-1,
* config and/or log files etc: normal config, no unusual output from Kate.

This also affects the KDialog file chooser used by Chromium.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Kate, Okular, KWave, or any other KDE Applications program.
2. Go to File > Open
3. Go to /usr/bin, /var, or basically any path other than $HOME.
4. Move the cursor over the listed directories or files; they will become truncated as shown in the screenshot.
5. Going to (options icon) > View > Short View causes a re-rendering or something, temporarily fixing the problem until you move the cursor over the items again.

Please report this upstream (preferably to KDE, since the plain Qt file dialog is not affected)
