qemu based VM's (Win10, Centos7) hang up when shut down the vm. this only happens when macvtab in bridge mode (other modes not testet) is selected and only if i use virtio driver. e1000 and rtl8139 works whithout this problem. I used the setup: macvtab in bridge mode with virtio, round about 2 weeks in past it starts to brick when vm is shutdown. (freezing process) And only when shutdown - then the system has a hanging vm, i was unable to kill this process even a kill -9 dont work. this result in problem while systemd try to shutdown the vm when i shutdown my laptop, end up with pressing the power button until power off... Have you tracked this down to any specific package? It sounds to me more like a qemu or kernel driver issue, both of which have had updates since you opened this ticket.
