The Crystal package was recently updated to 0.24. However, this is a pre-release version, and even Crystal's own website says:

> WARNING: this is a pre-release version of Crystal. Do not use this in production.

If the package maintainer wants to go this route, they should have two packages: crystal and crystal-prerelease.

To anyone who got stuck on this: you can rebuild the 0.23 version of the package yourself via:

svn checkout --depth=empty svn://svn.archlinux.org/community arch-community
cd arch-community
svn update crystal
cd crystal
svn merge -r r268123:r262308 .
cd trunk
makepkg -i --nocheck .

Do you have a specific issue with this release that requires Crystal rolling back to 0.23?

Well, for me it's that there were several breaking changes, and the project maintainers aren't updating until 0.24 leaves the pre-release land.

I'd understand if you can't roll this back easily; I more created this as a notification to hope it doesn't happen again. ;)
