DetailsDescription:
Firmware interfaces for some functions changed in version 34 of the iwlwifi firmware, but the corresponding changes in the kernel have not been released in any stable version of the kernel (including 4.14.2 that is in testing). This causes WiFi to not work at all (scanning and joining existing networks fail) for devices using Intel 8265 AC , like my Thinkpad X1 carbon laptop - there is no Ethernet on this laptop, WiFi is the only method for connecting to the internet. Please build the package with the upgrade to iwlwifi firmware version 34 commit reverted, or an earlier commit.
