Description: Dolphin can't browse windows network after
samba update to 4.7.1 (and with version 4.7.3)
Additional info: * package version(s) samba 4.7.3-1 * config and/or log files etc. configs are unchanged. nmbd and smbd works, samba service crashed. Steps to reproduce: |
This task depends upon
Name : kio-extras
Version : 17.08.3-1
1. samba package is working: my shares are accessible, smbtree shows hosts in our network, I can mount windows shares to my comp.
2. But: in a Dolphin file manager click to Network -> Samba shares item opens empty window. Why do you think that this bag is in samba?
If I try to mount share from host that isn't in a domain, I have message:
mount error(112): Host is down
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
But I can open this share from Dolphin file manager, if it is connecting to host by address smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Adding "client max protocol = NT1" to [global] settings in /etc/samba/smb.conf seems to "fix" it (a reboot is needed).
