Description:
ibus 1.5.17 introduced a regression which breaks the hex input mode (Ctrl + Shift + U), the attached patch (against 1.5.17) resolves that for the time being.

Steps to reproduce:
Attempt to enter hex input mode (by pressing and holding Ctrl and Shift, then depressing U) when when focused in an ibus-enabled text input.
