Description:
The change to the rsyncd.service file introduced in 3.2.1-4 prevents BackupPC to perform the backup of home directories on remote client. Specifically, the addition of ProtectHome=on prevents BackupPC to get access to home directories through rsync. Steps to reproduce: * initiate a remote backup for BackupPC console. * journalctl -u rsyncd shows: Oct 29 15:00:01 desktop1 rsyncd[1483]: connect from backupserver (192.168.1.200) Oct 29 15:00:01 desktop1 rsyncd[1483]: rsync: chdir /home/userdir failed : No such file or directory (2) |
