Details
Description:
xfce4-notifyd currently depends on xfce4-panel only for its notification plugin (/usr/lib/xfce4/panel/plugins/libnotification-plugin.so). For users using XFCE4 only as a session (e.g. does not use xfce4-panel at all), there is no need to install xfce4-panel. What's worse is that xfce4-panel will start up on login and cannot be turned off (or please enlighten me), which makes the experience strange. Would be better if xfce4-panel is an optional dependency, since users needing the plugin will definitely have xfce4-panel installed. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. xfce4-notifyd 0.4.0-1 xfce4-panel 4.12.1-1 |
