Description:
wxgtk3 should provide /usr/bin/wx-config-3.0, symlinked to /usr/lib/wx/config/gtk3-unicode-3.0. Currently wxgtk2 provides /usr/bin/wx-config but this is missing from wxgtk3. Building something like audacity, for example, checks for wx-config-3.0. No, the '-3.0' refers to the wxwidgets version, not to the gtk
version it is compiled against. audacity (and other projects) only
search for wx-config-3.0 as a fallback if wx-config is not found,
and we do ship wx-config in the wxgtk2 package. If you want to
compile against wxgtk3 you need to specify
--with-wx-config=wx-config-gtk3 in the configure line.
