Description:
Doesn't matter if I compile it myself or use the repository version, gnome-calendar segfaults right after starting it. It may just be a missing piece of the Gnome DE since im using i3, but 3.24 worked without a problem.

Ok, I managed to narrow this down by enableing and diabling accounts one by one, it only happens with evolution-ews installed and at least 1 EWS account activated.
Comment by Jan de Groot (JGC) - Thursday, 12 October 2017, 07:56 GMT
Without having debug symbols, my best guess is this:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-calendar/tree/src/gcal-utils.c#n158

Probably a nullpointer dereference.
Comment by Jan Steffens (heftig) - Thursday, 12 October 2017, 08:07 GMT
Hmm, all the other handling functions check for NULL and return NULL, without a warning.

I guess adding an `if (!date) return NULL;` would suffice. The g_date_time_compare the result is used in should emit warnings for NULLs and not crash.

Just tell me what you need, I'll help as best as I can. If you want the coredump itself I can upload it, but it's 430MB, so I'm not really looking forwards to it.
