DetailsSee bug #53440. The latter was marked as closed when jedit package was updated as requiring java-runtime=8. In fact jedit requires java 1.8 or later, so this should be java-runtime>=8.
This makes it impossible to update java to version 9. |

Thanks for reporting! Updated the setting to java-runtime>=8.
