I built the package and installed it and then set /bin/sh to point to dash. Now whenever I execute a shell script (#!/bin/sh) the following error appears and the command fails: /bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: libedit.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory After installing libedit package fixes the issue. Since you've set "--with-libedit" in configure, you should add libedit to the depends array. |

Nothing in the dash package links to libedit at all. If you built it, it's probably on your end.
