Details(lacking C skills I'm not sure if this is intended behaviour or a bug, therefore "Support Request")
I'm doing a lot of 'pacman -Sdw foo bar baz' operations to retrieve updates for my dialup pc. After downloading I copy /var/cache/pacman/pkg/* to a CF card or external hard drive and issue a 'pacman -Scc' (very few space on this notebook). I think this is nothing more than 'rm' essentially so I wonder why it takes several seconds most of the time and occasionally up to 20. |
