Details

Description:

SoX cannot process mp3 files. After upgrading SoX to version 14.4.2 it stopped processing mp3 files and gives this error:

'sox FAIL formats: no handler for given file type `mp3''

It was working before upgrading to this version. The same problem happened on all Arch linux installation where SoX was installed and was able to process them.

Have you installed all necessary optional dependencies?

I just checked it and noticed that twolame was also needed. I thought that the upgrade will upgrade everything necessary but didn't noticed that new optional packages were needed. Thanks, now it works.
