Details

If of interest, we would be happy to become a tire 1 mirror for archlinux.

As to the requirements posted in the wiki (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:NewMirrors):

* Tier 2 requirements

Fulfilled since 2014.

* Bandwidth >= 100Mbit/s

Currently 20Gbit/s internal and 5 GBit/s to the rest of the world (see http://ftp.fau.de/about.html#english).

* rsync support

Has always been supported, since becoming a tier 2 mirror.

* Proven reliability (be a tier 2 mirror for a while and have reasonable uptime, response to out-of-sync notifications etc.)

I certainly appreciate the idea, but we have enough tier 1 mirrors in Germany already. If I counted correctly, there are 7. I'll keep you in mind if any of those ever stops hosting a mirror.

Thanks anyways!
