here are the instructions i followed for my installation:
https://pastebin.com/mFFWmCeM
here is the error i am getting:
https://pastebin.com/AG0FgXwK

please note that a few days ago (at most, a week ago) i followed these instructions and was able to successfully install arch linux. now, however, it no longer works. i have tried reinstalling five times now (skipping the first dd step, admittedly) and each time i get the same error. moreover, when i try remove the "resume" module from the HOOKS line in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and when i remove its field and value from /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf, i get a near identical error message.

please contact the user "sheep" in #archlinux on freenode.net for more information.
