open-vm-tools tries to install a file to /lib/udev/rules.d/99-vmware-scsi-udev.rules when it should be installed to /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/99-vmware-scsi-udev.rules I had to rename the /lib symlink, install the package, move the file to /usr/lib, remove the /lib directory, and rename the /lib symlink back to install. Additional info: * package version open-vm-tools-6:10.1.10-1 Steps to reproduce: sudo pacman -Syu ... error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) open-vm-tools: /lib exists in filesystem open-vm-tools: /lib/udev/rules.d/99-vmware-scsi-udev.rules exists in filesystem pacman -Qo /lib /lib is owned by filesystem 2017.03-2 |
