DetailsThe version of yarn in the repos right now is a release candidate (0.28.4). Is it intended to use release candidates instead of the current stable version? (0.27.5).

No, I didn't know that it was a release candidate as it didn't have "rc" anywhere.

I'm not sure how their versioning scheme works, but you can see that they label the stable/release versions on the home page: https://yarnpkg.com/en/
