Description:
if I try to start pcscd.service, I get this error: Failed to start pcscd.service: Unit pcscd.socket not found.

Do a systemctl daemon-reload and try again. Also make sure the socket unit is really there, could be a disk problem on your end.

Thanks, a "systemctl daemon-reload" solved the issue.

Anyway, just for edu purpose, why is happening this?

daemon-reload just tells systemd to re-scan the unit files. For some reason, it didn't think the socket was there until you rescanned.
