Hi,
I am an administrator of already existing Tier 2 mirror: mirrors.atviras.lt. First I wanted to report that IP address of this mirror has been changed to 178.16.34.167 https://www.archlinux.org/mirrors/atviras.lt/ Additionally I would like to request a Tier 1 status for this mirror as it is running for quite some time now without causing much problems. Additional info: Available protocols: http://mirrors.atviras.lt/archlinux/ https://mirrors.atviras.lt/archlinux/ rsync://mirrors.atviras.lt/archlinux/ Tier 1 mirror I am currently syncing to: ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/archlinux/ IP Address: 178.16.34.167 Connection: 1Gbps with 500Mbps actual upload/download speed and unlimited bandwidth. Country: Lietuva (Lithuania) LT. Contact: info@atviras.lt |

Please switch to one of the *_tier1 modules on "rsync://rsync.archlinux.org". You'll probably want "rsync://rsync.archlinux.org/ftp_tier1". Reply here once you've switched so I can close this request.
If you want to sync more often than once an hour, please consider using a script like this[1] to reduce the amount of rsync traffic when there are no changes.

I have seen your message regarding syncrepo.sh script on the mailing list and switched to using it already. Seems to work well so far.
Switched the source address to ftp_tier1 as suggested:
rsync://rsync.archlinux.org/ftp_tier1
Got a nice greeting:
@ERROR: access denied to ftp_tier1 from UNKNOWN (178.16.34.167)
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1635) [Receiver=3.1.0]
Best Regards,
Egidijus M.
Thank you very much for your effort!
