DetailsHey, this is my little contribution for archlinux :)
Tier 2 ------ Mirror domain name : mirrors.celiandu61.fr Geographical location of the mirror (country) : France, Paris - Green Datacenter GDC3 Vélizy URLs for supported access methods (http(s), rsync) (no ftp) : http(s)://mirrors.celiandu61.fr/archlinux/ Your mirror's available bandwidth : 1Gbps ( symetric ) An administrative contact email : me@celiandu61.fr An alternative administrative contact email (optional) : celianvdb@hotmail.fr Sync : Every 2 hours from rsync://mirror.pseudoform.org/packages/ |
This task depends upon
New domain : mirrors.celianvdb.fr
( but domain of my mail is same )
Just added the rsync support.
rsync://mirrors.celianvdb.fr/archlinux
I also changed my administrative email some months ago and forgot to notice it here ( I propably missed some mails during a big issue some weeks ago with my server provider, sorry :'( ). it's now me@celianvdb.fr.
After this issue I changed my server provider, so the server location is now France, Roubaix. The uptime will be infinitly better !
I also would like to know if could become a Tier 2 mirror ? I noticed that there is only one in France.
Thanks in advance
As for tier 1 status: Thank you a lot for the offer, but we do not need an additional tier 1 mirror in Frace right now. We already have a lot of tier 1 mirrors in Central Europe so even though we may not have many in France, there are quite a lot in the neighbouring countries (especially Germany and the Netherlands). Additional tier 1 mirrors require more resources from our master mirror so having too many tier 1 mirrors could slow down distribution of updates, which is exactly what we want to avoid. If we need more tier 1 mirrors in the future, I'll be sure to keep you in mind.
