DetailsSince a recent update, biber (2.7-2) does not work anymore. Just running it does:
``` % biber Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated here (and will be fatal in Perl 5.30), passed through in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/}(\pM+\pL){ <-- HERE (?!\pL+\\)/ at /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/Biber/LaTeX/Recode.pm line 316. Collate.c: loadable library and perl binaries are mismatched (got handshake key 0xdb80080, needed 0xde00080) ``` Same for biber --help, biber --version, whatever |
sorry, forgot to put in a title. Could it be changed to "[biber] Biber fails to run with a Perl error" ?
This means you have one or more modules installed that need to be rebuilt for the new perl. This happens with a partial update, AUR packages, or things installed outside of pacman (cpan, etc). Biber is NOT the problem.
