Description:
Adding more context to the title, my laptop loses performance randomly, sometimes, it boots and the game performance is what I expect, but some other times it boots, but the game performance is 1/3 of what it should be.

Normal performance like browsing the web, listening to music, compiling, etc, isn't affected, which is weird.
My laptop is an HP Pavilion G4-2205la. I have posted about this on reddit, and they say that the culprit is HP's coolsense, thing is, I don't know why couldn't the normal behavior be forced.

Additional info:
* package version(s) Everything update as of sat jul 15 11:03:22 -05 2017

* config and/or log files etc.

I attached the dmesg, as it's the only thing that comes to my mind that could spit something out about this.

Steps to reproduce:
   dmesg.txt (58.4 KiB)

This is probably not something that can be solved with software. Laptops are known to throttle when certain conditions are met:
- on battery
- unsupported charger
- low performance charger (65W instead of 90/120W)
- temperature

My laptop is always with a charger, temperature desnt matter, and the charger is the same that came with the laptop.

This is also really random, for example, I have to shutdown my laptop multiple times, and then once it will get the performance it should, but, when I turn it off, there's a probability that the next boot will have the degraded performance.

If the problem is HP's coolsense, where is the Arch issue here?
