DetailsCompilation with ghc with profiling enabled fails, because the profiling libraries are not installed anymore.
This is the case since ghc package version 8.0.2. Unfortunately – at least for me – this significantly reduces the benefits of the the packaged Haskell libraries, because in the end you have to recompile the libraries with profiling enabled, if you want to analyse the performance of your program. This implies long compilation times (at least initially) and you are thrown back into the cabal hell. |
