Profiled libraries appear to have been intentionally removed from the ghc-8.0.2-1 package. This was not only unannounced, but the new package is also effectively feature-incompatible with the previous one. Without at least the base profiled libraries being installed, profiling is impossible, in addition to other features--here are just two of many as an example:

https://simonmar.github.io/posts/2016-02-12-Stack-traces-in-GHCi.html
https://downloads.haskell.org/~ghc/8.0.2/docs/html/users_guide/ghci.html#external-interpreter

If the reason for removing the libraries was to make the GHC package smaller, then please distribute the profiled libraries in a separate package. Without them, this package is useless to anyone who needs to use profiling or the features that require it.
