I just noticed it happening without a corresponding pushModal log entry.. Instead, it was a bunch of these (which doesn't seem related, but I'll add it just in case):

Turns out I'm still getting pauses. The saned problem may have been a separate issue. Same errors with pushModal as before.

I cannot reproduce the issue.
Can we close the issue?

This has begun happening for me on my Dell XPS 13 9360 about a month ago, and I have only just found this issue thanks to the following `journalctl` entries:

Nov 18 20:37:48 pythagoras gnome-shell[7265]: pushModal: invocation of begin_modal failed
Nov 18 20:37:48 pythagoras gnome-shell[7265]: pushModal: invocation of begin_modal failed

Is there any way that I can help with reproducing this issue?

Upstream bug seems to be https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=751335, which has not been migrated to GitLab.
