The userui hook for mkinitcpio doesn't honour the FBRES setting in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, unlike the fbsplash hook for example, and adds the whole /etc/splash/darch directory to the initcpio image. I'd like to only add the files for the 1024x768 resolution.

/lib/initcpio/hooks/userui is owned by userui 0.6.4-1

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  Sorry for closing, but won't change this just because of initcpio image size...

I was just looking into it while upgrading userui and I have no idea which files would be needed and which wouldn't. Could you provide a patch to the install file?

Check the /lib/initcpio/install/fbsplash (part of the gensplashutils package).
It does exactly this.

Is this bug present with the recent userui 0.7.2 package?
