DetailsI tried to do a save all on 4 large image attachments and evolution locked up. I'd ran it from the command line but didn't get any errors or messages to indicate why. I killed the app with ctrl-c and re-ran it, on start up I got the following error:
(evolution-2.6:9875): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or uninitialized memory. This indicates a bug in someone's code. You must ensure an error is NULL before it's set. The overwriting error message was: Error opening directory '/home/robin/.evolution /mail/imap/robin@thorbardin/folders/INBOX/subfolders/Work/subfolders/sunflower/sub folders/swann': Too many open files *** glibc detected *** evolution: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x08758b2c *** I can view the folder from mutt without any problems and it has in it under 200 mails. Restarting evolution for a second time worked ok. Repeating the above steps does repeat the problem though. |

Another thing, I see you have the same error as this blog post I read today: http://thomas.apestaart.org/log/?p=407
Are you using spamassassin to do filtering on your IMAP boxes?
I'm not running spamassassin I am only running procmail to filter mails. The attachments were 3.3M in total, not massive but maybe worth concidering.
