GtkLife can be compiled with gtk2 (that is stated on homepage).
That would be nice for users who have only gtk2 on their systems and don't want to install gtk1.

BTW, can you add LucidLife (GtkLife for GNOME fork + enhancements) as well?
This task depends upon

lucid life depends on gnome :(

gtklife i didn't know that it can be built also against gtk2... very interesting... /me going to check if it works

/me built it -> it works with gtk2 but gives a strange warning:

(gtklife:18622): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR (container) || widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed

(gtklife:18622): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkPixmap to a GtkButton, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkButton can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkVBox

i informed the author of gtklife.

the idea i have is to build gtklife package against gtk2 instead of gtk and not having another pacakge. gtk1 is anyway quite old.

$ /usr/local/bin/icepodder

(python:22343): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_remove: assertion
`GTK_IS_TOOLBAR
(container) || widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed http://rmdrecruiters.com/
