Description: DVB TechnoTrend TT-budget S2-1600 is not detected by System as DVB device

Kernel used:
- 4.10.13-1-vfio
- 4.10.1-1-vfio
- 4.11.3-1

Steps to reproduce:
1. Plug the DVB card
2. Boot system

Expected results: /dev/dvb exists, frontend/backend is recognized, kernel modules are loaded, can use the DVB card to watch Sat channel.

Actual results:
- No kernel modules are loaded: dvb-ttpci, budget, budget-core, SAA7146 and so on
- /dev/dvb does not exists
- "dmesg | grep -i dvb" shows nothing
- manual load of modules does not solve the issue ( modprobe saa7146 modprobe dvb-ttpci): [ 1305.926851] saa7146: register extension 'av7110'

Does lspci show the device?
Comment by Andrei (myweb) - Wednesday, 14 June 2017, 07:52 GMT
yes:
06:00.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)

but it looks like there should be also/or device with .1 at the end of PCI address

No firmware missing any error on this? Card works in other pc?
Comment by Andrei (myweb) - Wednesday, 14 June 2017, 08:28 GMT
I can not check the card on other PC, but card was working before my PC upgrade.

Firmware is present:
$ ls -l /lib/firmware/dvb-ttpci-01.fw
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 239956 Jun 22 2010 /lib/firmware/dvb-ttpci-01.fw

There is nothing about firmaware for DVB in dmesg:
$ dmesg | grep -i firm
[ 0.999118] ACPI: [Firmware Bug]: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored
[ 1.192705] DMAR: [Firmware Bug]: RMRR entry for device 04:00.0 is broken - applying workaround
[ 7.130289] bluetooth hci0: Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM20702A1-0b05-17cb.hcd failed with error -2
[ 7.759812] [drm] GuC firmware load skipped

I cannot reproduce the issue. Is it still valid for you?
