DetailsWhen attempting to boot the new kernel with the initcpio image, I get a kernel panic as it can not mount the root file system.
Let me know what details you require and I shall provide them as soon as possible to help with the testing. Perhaps it's enough to know that I'm using SATA, perhaps modules for SCSI is missing in the image? |

I added the following modules to the MODULES=(libata sata_sil reiserfs). Both my root partition and /boot is running ReiserFS.
In regards to the controllers I've got three. One normal on-board IDE controller, another SATA on-board and another PCI attached SATA. On the PCI SATA Ctrl I have my drive attached. Could this be the problem?
