Description:
Since maybe 1-2 month ago I am not able to use "beets". Also my "tvheadend" server stopped working.
- I waited on new versions - same problem
- I removed beets and tvheadend - same problem - segfault happens in case of tvheadend while compiling the package
- I even did a clean reinstall of the complete system yesterday - same problem

Additional info:
* package version(s)
- linux - 4.11.2-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon May 22 06:53:49 CEST 2017 x86_64 GNU/Linux
- python 3.6.1-1
- python2 2.7.13-2
- beets 1.4.3-2
- tvheadend 4.2.2

* config and/or log files etc.
- beetsdump - coredump of beets while run it with "beet version"
- tvheadenddump - coredump of beets while try to compile it from AUR
- build-tvheadend.txt output of yaourt while try to compile tvheadend
- cpuinfo.txt - cat /proc/cpuinfo

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install the "beets" package
2. Run e.g. "beet version" (sometimes it works, repeat it)

The other way is get a similar segfault
1. Try to install tvheadend from AUR (did it with yaourt)
2. Getting build errors (log is attached)
3. A coredump is created (similar stacktrace)

Big thanks for invesitgating.

With best regards,
Frank R

Hi,

I found the forum thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=227372
This guy seems to have the same problem. He solved it by upgrade the installed python 3.6 to the current 3.6.2rc1 manually.

I tried to downgrade to the last official package: python-3.6.0-2-x86_64
This works. Phyton itselve and thisfore beets and tvheadend working again with the old version.

It must be a bug within the python 3.6.1 version.

With best regards,
Frank R
