DetailsDescription:
Intel NIC devices not in /dev Additional info: Package Version 4.11.2-1, bug exists in both regular and -ck Linux packages I am using a x99 chipset motherboard with a Haswell-E processor, two built-in Intel Nics and a (unused) wifi AC adapter. Intel Nics are i218V and i211AT. Only one is being used by my host system ordinarily with dhcpd enabled on it in systemd, and the other by my virtual machine. Neither are available after booting with new kernel. I'm using a bit of an unusual configuration as I'm running a VFIO VGA passthrough VM, as described on Arch Wiki, but that shouldn't affect my network device availablility. Steps to reproduce: upgrade from 4.10.1-1 using pacman -Syu reboot no network devices are present even after modprobe e1000e... mkinitcpio doesn't seem to help either. |

The strange thing is, the bug has disappeared on its own. I was experiencing it earlier with the -ck upgrade to this version, now the Arch mainstream kernel had it.
