I must admit I use a rather odd bridge created using pulseaudio-jack, pulseaudio-dlna and cadence.
- alsa > pulseaudio > jack
When running `gdb --args gnome-control-center sound` the following warning is printed:
"(gnome-control-center:21913): Gvc-WARNING **: Device did not have an appropriate card"
Output of `pacmd list-sinks`:

The issue I'm experiencing is indeed known; see
- https://github.com/kgshank/gse-sound-output-device-chooser/issues/19
to disable sounds effect, I set in a term this :
dconf write /org/gnome/desktop/sound/event-sounds "false"
and it works !
Only after bypassing the issue described in my previous comment by bypassing the jack pulseaudio module, and thus having a 'normal' pulseaudio sound card available,
I was able to get rid of the annoying sounds.
I guess in my case this is bug in either Cadence in setting up the alsa > pulseaudio > jack bridge or the pulseaudio-jack module.
