Details

Due to the permission change in the kernel scripts directory (http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/5400) some files lost the execute permission. Examples are /usr/src/linux-2.6.17-ARCH/scripts/basic/fixdep or /usr/src/linux-2.6.17-ARCH/scripts/mod/modpost.
Because of this the VMware kernel modules doesn't compile anymore.
