DetailsI've got the following problem in KDE: whenever I set my locale to anything .UTF8 (like 'pl_PL', I can't get the polish letter o' (o acute), because instead of the appropriate character, I get two squares. However the problem doesn't exist in GTK2 applications. Also, whenever I set my locale to anything else than .UTF8 (like 'pl_PL') it works just fine in KDE.
I posted this problem on the forums, but no one helped me. http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=25068 |

Are you sure that this is not related to some font issue?

Nope. Using Verdana in both GTK2 and KDE apps and AFAIK Verdana supports UTF8.
