DetailsDescription:
With GNOME 3.24.1 and xdg-utils 1.1.1-5, xdg-open on a directory does not work anymore. E.g.: pc:~ xdg-open . This tool has been deprecated, use 'gio open' instead. See 'gio help open' for more info. Actually, on GNOME xdg-open just runs gvfs-open and it is the tool now depreciated: pc:~ gvfs-open . This tool has been deprecated, use 'gio open' instead. See 'gio help open' for more info. xdg-utils was fixed last year to change from gvfs-open to gio open as per https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xdg/xdg-utils/commit/?id=0d6eebb27c562e8644ccf616ebdbddf82d0d2dd8 but it seems there has been no new release of xdg-utils. Could the Arch xdg-utils maintainer consider applying this patch? |

Actually, I found another Arch user has recently raised a bug about this at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100862 so I added some info there.
